Basic Idea for 2 minute social realism introduction

The main idea for my social realism introduction and whole film is about the impact of the internet and social networking on friendship groups, cyber bullying, how easy the sites are to access and how this affects people’s lives. My main focus will be teenagers. The setting for my intro will be a south London home at around 5 or 6 in the evening.

The storyline of the film is based on a 13 year old boy who lives with his mother and father. The father of the boy is a very strict parent from a higher class background and education and is very neglectful towards him. The mother is a business woman who is constantly away from home work which leaves the young boy on his own a lot of the time. The introduction will start with the boy walking home from school at around 6 or 7 o’clock in the evening. The setting is a middle class home on the corner of a busy high street.  The intro will go on to show his fathers attitude towards him and how he reacts to this with cyber bullying.
